Better late than never...

Time to play catch up. So, we'll start with yet another SDCC! And perhaps the craziest yet. Anyway, as always, great to see friends old and new, and to check out all that is Geekdom. A hightlight of the show this year was getting this little baby done by Ashley Wood. He actually blew on a Sharpie, Steadman style. Didn't know Sharpies could do that. Enjoy.

Now with video!

Thought I'd give this video feature a try. Here's an animation test with my Robo-Ninja character in a scene. All done in Flash, btw.

Re-animated

Aaand were back. So much for the kick in the butt. Let's try this again, and we'll start it off with a little VB. This here's a subway banner that came out way back at the start of the first season. Thank you eBay. It's mounted, and hung on a wall in my swank pad... Go Team Venture!

Avast! Vampirates!

Vampirates. Arguably the greatest combination of two words. Ever. Not sure where it originated from. It exists in the bowels of pop-culture as a teen-horror novel, a failed Tom Savini flick, and a rock band. Who knows what else. I'm throwing my hat into the ring, with the first of some cartoony designs of my own creation.

SDCC '06- My Greatest Adventure Yet!

Well, it was certainly one to remember. The capper to my 1.5 days there is with those two pins pictured above; pins given to me personally by the co-conspirator in all things Venture... Doc Hammer! The Venture Bros. is nothing short of genius, and it was awesome to meet him!
However, he failed to overshadow the joy of my running into a mess 'o friends from Chicago while at the con! They're a great bunch with inspiring artwork all around. And they blog! Check out the links on the right for teh goods.
So, I hope to start updating this blog again, and I've got web space I intend to use for hosting any animations/videos I might like to share. Rock!

Get your drink on...

Another Bday card for a friend. I tried to make it look like those Guinness ads of old. Done in Flash.

Robo-Ninja

I've made this character in 3D, but thought I'd try him in Flash. Not much animation of him now, but perhaps I'll do a short in the future. This is a still from a quick test shot. He's hovering on that platform above some spikes. I used some Flash trickery to try and make it look like the only light in the scene is coming from his eyes. It'll look cool when he's moving his head around and specific areas of the bg are lighting up.

White Tiger

Not much to say about this one, just done for shits and giggles.

A little anime action...

Here's a Birthday card of sorts I did for a friend. He likes FLCL, and so do I. Why not take a stab at a character from the show? In her bunny costume no less!
